Daventry District Council has given a quantity of poppy seeds to plant as part of the initiative to mark the start of the First World War. These will be planted in two areas of the field in the next few days.
Our Parish Council has also donated £50 for the purchase of wild flower seeds. These are being grown in pots by a large number of village residents. When they are ready they will be planted in designated areas of the field.
The Jetty Field Committee has also purchased £50 of Yellow Rattle plants that will also be planted in the field.
We hope that people will be able to stroll around the area and enjoy it even more!
