It's nearly June! 30 May 2016 (The Wheatsheaf Inn) Reflecting on a busy May.....

Gosh - How is it nearly June already!?

This year is whizzing by and the month of May has been no exception....

It has been so lovely seeing lots of new faces from the village popping by and an increased number of passes by as the weather improves and people are enjoying their boating holidays.

May began with a busy bank holiday and ended with a busy one too. The first bank holiday we hosted the Fishing Club presentation and had many of them in collecting trophies.....

We have taken on two new members of staff - Laurel & Lauren. Both of which had never worked behind a bar before but their enthuasiam and friendliness made me think they both will be great asssets to our team.

The Mens loos were tiled and although we still need to paint they are looking a lot better, cleaner and brighter, a few complaints about the mirror not going back up - we promise we get it sorted for those of you who need a mirror in there ;)

17th May we hosted a wine tasting evening so our customers could help us pick some wines for a new wine menu. It was far more popular than we ever could have imagined and sold 41 tickets! There were a lot of wines to taste and Braunston embraced the challenge that Tuesday night, albeit detrimental to their Wednesday! However we got some really positive feed back and we now have our new wine menus on order - keep an eye out for your favourite!

21st May and Braunston bakes were back as well as our childrens book swap organised by our 8 year old Noah. A good turn out for the bakes and a few for the book swap. Like our facebook page and the one for Braunston bakes too to keep up to speed when we will be hosting them again. Don't forget you can always pre-order your favourite goodies.

Finally the end of May bank holiday arrived and has quickly gone.... It was a busy one and on Sat 28th we hosted local band Tone Deaf & The Doors are locked and had a pub full enjoying their Clunge rock covers.

We have some more bands booked - see the events page for all up and coming events and i'll be back at the end of June to update you all on The Sheaf news........ Claire x
