Poll cards arriving 19 Jan 2017 You can vote if you are on the Electoral Roll. If you are not, ring 01327 871100 or contact [email protected]

The poll cards for the Neighbourhood Plan referendum to be held on 16th February should be arriving through the post this week. This is for the official referendum that is explained in the December BVN http://www.braunston.org.uk/variable/organisation/29/attachments/BVN%20December%202016%20-%20January%202017.pdf  the village website http://www.braunston.org.uk/news.aspx?nid=363#news and the Daventry District website https://www.daventrydc.gov.uk/living/planning-policy/neighbourhood-planning/submitted-neighbourhood-plans/

Almost everyone is on the Electoral Roll which is used for all elections and referendums, however, if you have recently moved address or did not respond to the communication sent by DDC in 2016 to all households about voter registration you may have missed out so far. If this is the case or if you have not received a poll card you can still register to vote as long as you do so by 31st January. To enquire about registration ring 01327 871100 or email [email protected]

If you lose your poll card you can still vote in the referendum. You do not have to take it to the polling station.

There will be further publicity nearer the date of the referendum as reminders to vote. In the meantime if you would like to read the Neighbourhood Plan you can do so in the Community Café or the Church or you can borrow a copy from the Village Stores or you can download an electronic copy from the DDC website https://www.daventrydc.gov.uk/living/planning-policy/neighbourhood-planning/submitted-neighbourhood-plans/#plan2 or the Braunston Parish Council website  http://www.braunston.org.uk/org.aspx?n=Braunston-Parish-Council&id=185
