Winterbourne House & Garden visit 2 Aug 2018 Report on the Visit from Kate Mawer

It was a wonderful day. Many who went were intrigued that they had not seen the garden before. They enjoyed the house as it was small enough to do not dominate the visit and told the story of the family well. The buffet was very relaxed, food was very fresh and we had the full use of the Tool Shed for as long as we wanted.

The gardens were varied, elegant, well maintained with a whole range from alpines, cacti, herbaceous borders, roses, carnivorous plants, an arboretum, pots and tubs as well as the National Collection of Anthemis. We all took away ideas and an extended wish list!

BVGA members said, “Where did you find this wonderful garden?”

“A wonderful garden I will be telling my friends”

We are off to Leicester on 18th August. Why not join us. Contact Kate Mawer to find out if spaces are available.
