Braunston Village Hall - Hiring and Information

Braunston WI welcome visitors and new members

We look forward to seeing you. Why not come along and join us for a meeting to find out more about what we do.

Our meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of every month in the Village Hall at 7.30pm to about 9.30pm.

Visitors and new members are always welcome to WI meetings. Most months we have a visiting speaker or an evening with some form of activity. As well as tea, coffee and biscuits.

Once a year we have a Christmas party, New Year lunch and we try to fit in a couple of craft evenings, although we promise that you do not have to be a crafter or baker or make jam to enjoy the WI.

We also have a Lunch Club meeting once a month on a Tuesday in a local pub and a Craft Group that meets weekly on Monday mornings  in the Church Parish Room between 10am and 12pm.

If you are interested in campaigning then you will be interested in the annual resolutions that Women Institute members campaign about each year. Topics as varied as bees, library closures, plastic soup and loneliness have been recent campaigns.

If you are interested in charities the Women's Institute across the country supports ACWW. The Associated Country Women of the World. In Braunston we like to contribute to the current project supported by the County Federation.

If you would like to come but need a lift then contact us and we will arrange a lift for you.
