Open gardens - final donation figures 4 Aug 2015 (Braunston Village Gardens Association) There were over 200 visitors to the 15 gardens that opened on 21 June 2015 with £1400 being raised.

Over 200 people visited the 15 gardens that were open in the village on 21 June 2015. Visitors were delighted by a wide range of gardens and showed their appreciation for the willingness of villagers to welcome them.

The teas and homemade cakes at the village hall again proved very popular as did the plant sale and book stall.

BVGA Chairperson Kate Mawer said "I would like to thank everyone involved in the open gardens event, Jean and Richard Dibben for organising it, all those who opened their gardens, the people who baked cakes, made teas, drove the community car, donated and sold plants and helped in a number of ways"

It was lovely to see so many people and we are grateful to them for taking the time to come out and support a worthy event. The total amount donated following the event was £1200 to MacMillan from open gardens and £200 to Friends of all Saints Church from the plant sale.
