The plant sale at the village hall, part of the Braunston at its best celebration was very well supported. BVGA members and other volunteers were out on a chilly May Saturday, selling plants to Braunston residents and visitors.
The garden store was also open enabling people to purchase composts, fertiliser, canes and growbags to help their new purchases look their best.
The herb garden looked fantastic, thanks to the planting and weeding by BVGA members and some lovely signage courtesy of Alan and Helen Morgan. Compare the photo posted yesterday to the one taken today to see how much progress has been made.
Remember, you can take a snip of any of the herbs, so if you are cooking roast lamb for Sunday lunch and need a sprig of rosemary, just pop down and help yourself!
Although the amount of money raised is yet to be confirmed chair person Kate Mawer said "I'm really pleased with how the sale went today and would like to thank all the volunteers and purchasers for their continuing support".
