340 people came from all these places, and many others, to Braunston Village Hall on the 9th July to start their journey around the village to enjoy a wonderful selection of gardens to raise money for charity.
Funds raised on the day for Macmillan Cancer Support rose to just under £2000 and, from the sale of plants, just over £200 was raised for Friends of All Saints Church.
Braunston gardeners were praised by visitors for the great variety of gardens that were open, the interesting planting ideas, the way in which visitors were welcomed into the gardens and were able to imagine that they could be in their own garden and, most importantly, that the gardens were clearly the result of a great deal of hard work by the people who lived in the gardens rather than by landscape designers as had been seen by some visitors at other similar events. We hope that you enjoyed the gardens this year too.
Macmillan Cancer Support and the BVGA would like to thank everyone who made this event a great success;
the gardeners, the refreshment teams in the Village Hall and The Church, the programme, raffle ticket and plant sellers, the Community Car team and those who helped set up and take down the tables and chairs.
