As gardeners, after a long period of no rain, we were of course very happy that rain was threatened for our evening visit to the Herb Centre in June! But also relieved that it did not arrive during our beautiful walk along the hedgerows guided by Rhiannon the herbalist. She opened our eyes to the many qualities of wild flowers and we discovered new stories and uses of these familiar plants. Tea and herb cake restored our energy just enough to buy plenty of plants to bring back to Braunston for planting after the rain fell.
