Braunston Show 2017 23 Sep 2017 (Braunston Village Gardens Association) A very big thank you to everyone who supported the show as: exhibitor, visitor, volunteer helper, or any combination of these!

Once again, this year’s Braunston Show was a great success. The sun shone and over 250 adults and children visited the show in the afternoon to enjoy the wide range of exhibits on display - from vegetables, fruit and flowers, to arts and crafts, preserves, baking, and photography. The home produce group was particularly well supported this year, with the display tables groaning under the weight of 105 exhibits - many thanks to Braunston Bakes for introducing their trophy in memory of Carol Davey this year. For many visitors it was also a time to catch up over a cup of tea and a slice of cake, and to have a dip into the tombola (the refreshment area was absolutely buzzing all afternoon!) before collecting prizes and bidding in the auction of produce - led this year by auctioneer Pat Milner.

Thank you once again to everyone that helped to make this such a successful village event!

Particular thanks go to PumpkinPip Ltd for their invaluable support with the online entry and results analysis system, and the Post Office staff for collecting entries. Thanks also go to the following businesses and organisations for their generous donations towards the prizes for the tombola and raffle, both of which are always very well supported on the day:

Village Meats, Gongoozler’s Rest, The Boat Shop, Admiral Nelson, Select Convenience, Wheatsheaf, Braunston Fryer, Braunston Bakes, Your Café, Barby Nurseries, Old Plough, Daxa Health & Beauty, Millside Serenity Nails and The Boathouse.

The BVGA would like to hear from you.
