The Braunston based LNBP took 17 Friendly Club members on a wonderful boat trip from Bottom Lock Braunston to Napturn on Tuesday 10th July. A huge thank you to Peter, Nigel, John and John for giving up their time to treat us to a very special trip. Friendly Club members enjoyed tea and cake as they moved gently along both the Grand Union and Oxford canals. Mallard ducks and meadowsweet accompanied us along the way. We enjoyed reflecting on times when some of our members or their families lived on canal boats. For others it was an opportunity to see the changes along the canals and thinking back to the times they used to walk along the towpaths.
