Food safety course for business 17 Feb 2020 (Braunston Parish Council) Food safety course on offer to businesses

Catering businesses can brush up on their food safety and allergen control skills at a series of one-day courses being offered by Daventry District Council (DDC).

The Catering Essentials Foundation in Food Safety and Allergen Awareness and Control is designed to help food businesses understand food safety hazards and the controls that can be put in place to limit them.

It also covers foods that most commonly trigger allergic reactions and shows caterers how to minimise the risk of cross contamination and ensure they meet their legal responsibilities.

It is an opportunity for businesses to improve their management of food safety as well as their food safety rating and includes an optional test for those who would like to obtain a Level 2 qualification in Food Safety and Allergen Awareness.

Run by experienced Environmental Health Officers from DDC, the one-day courses take place at the Council offices in Lodge Road on Mondays 24 February and 23 March at a cost of £68 per person.

Both courses run from 9am until 5pm and include refreshments and lunch.

To find out more information or book a place please call 01327 871100 or phone Simon Watson, Senior Environmental Health Officer, on 01327 302533.
