Hi,
Every year Northamptonshire Libraries deliver the Summer Reading Challenge, which challenges children to read 6 books during the summer holidays. It has been proven that children who don’t continue reading during the summer have a lower reading age when they return to school in September than that before the summer. You can find out more about the challenge on our webpage: www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/src or on our facebook page: www.facebook.com/NorthamptonshireSRC
Due to the exceptional circumstances surrounding Covid-19 we are unable to deliver this in the normal way and the challenge will be online this year. We are also unable to promote it I the normal way as we can’t deliver school assemblies or hold events in the library.
We are posting Parish, District and Town Council’s two A4 posters and we would be very grateful if you could display these on any noticeboards that you have in your parish/district. I have also attached a digital version which you can use on local social media channels or print if you need more copies.
Many thanks,
Jo Hoyer
