Vehicle Crime 23 Jun 2021 (Braunston Parish Council) Protect yourself against Vehicle Crime

Please be mindful of vehicle crime which can be prevalent at this time of the year.

Do you often park in an isolated car park at a local beauty spot or similar?  Thieves may be watching, waiting and pretending to be an innocent member of public using the same facility!  Do not openly remove valuables from the car and place them in the boot.  If its been seen it can become a target.

Do you keep tools in vehicles?  Please ensure they are all security marked where possible and serial numbers recorded.  If possible park in a lit area and against a wall to reduce access to doors.

Please report any suspicious activity to Police, however trivial or minor it may seem.  An unusual car loitering in your street, cold callers or persons going from street to street with no real purpose.  You may just prevent a crime happening!
