Neighbourhood Plan Update 7 Feb 2017 How the policies in the Neighbourhood Plan have come about

The following points came up during the four years of consultation and planning. The Referendum on the Neighbourhood Plan will be held on Thursday 16th February. 

•   What people said about open spaces

What has been put in the Plan

• The majority of respondents to the questionnaire use the open spaces including the canal towpaths.

Policy F designates Local Green Spaces and preserves existing open spaces.

Policy J protects the canals and their setting.

• People want Braunston to remain a village.

Policy G says development proposals should respect the individual and distinct identities of Braunston village, the smaller settlements around it and Daventry and the open gaps between them.
