So since purchasing the pub on 29/03/16 and finally getting open on 01/04/16 we are now finally getting used to the place and completed our first month of trading!
So lovely to have lots of words of congratulations and good luck from our friends and family but also many from some very supportive people in the village too.
April was a good month for making the acquaintance of lots customers some whom have supported the Wheatsheaf for years but also those people whom have become new customers too.
We have now got two pool teams in the Daventry Pool League on a Monday evening and the season is now in full swing, the newly formed mixed Skittles team started their Summer fixtures away in the Daventry & District skittles league on Thursday evenings. We still have space for anyone wanting to come along a join in on a Thursday night.
We played host to a 21st Birthday party and also hosted the famous pop up bakery by Braunston Bakes. There was a good turn out for the Braunston Bakes and for the first time The Wheatsheaf offered teas and coffees and the opportunity to sit and have a piece of cake too. Even BBC radio Northampton turned up as part of their local treasure hunt and interviewed a very puffed out Anita who had rushed back from saving her bread burning up the road!
On the last day of April we decorated the pub with Cobblers colours in our 'Cobblers Corner' where some of the local supporters celebrated a move up into the next division for the team.
