Braunston Timeline Unveiled 7 Dec 2013 (All Saints' Church Braunston) After nearly two years of research and planning our village Timeline was unveiled on Saturday 7th December.

Over 70 people attended, including the vice chairman of Daventry District Council, Councillor Catherine Lomax, and our own Chairman of Braunston Parish Council, Councillor Sally – Ann Longworth. Both councils, as well as other bodies and individuals, gave us financial support. It was extremely heartening to see a wide range of local people at the short ceremony. Many of them stayed to take a long, hard look at the impressive Timeline and to socialise. Daventry Express and B.B.C. Radio Northampton reported on the occasion. Two pupils from Braunston Primary school, Annabelle and Oliver, performed the official unveiling. Presentations were made to Neil Bannister of Southfield Arts Ltd. and Miss Liz. Orton who completed a great deal of the art work. Both Neil and Liz. are to be congratulated for their magnificent work.

We now hope that many people from near and far will enjoy this permanent record of our village’s history, set alongside that of the world. Please do go along and see the Timeline and encourage all your friends to go along, as well. The church is open from about 9.00 a.m. until about 5.00 p.m. seven days a week. Sarah, our vicar, and the P.C.C. welcome you to All Saints’ Braunston.

Andrew Alsop. Director of the Timeline Project.
