Saturday's crew of 7 took Skippy up the flight. The main task was to continue clearing the ditch behind the raised towpath above top lock. On the way, the weirs at locks 4 & 5 were cleared and the nettles on the offside at lock 6 were cut. After clearing another section of the ditch a leaning tree was removed. All arisings from the ditch and the tree were transported to the offside and stacked.
The Thursday crew of 7 set about strimming back the edges of the paths from Butchers bridge up to the village. Maintaining access here has become a bi-annual task for BCS.
