A group of Volunteers from the Braunston Canal Society set about clearing the overgrown approach to the dry dock. The tree growth had extended out into the canal by some 7 metres and was causing boats to take avoiding action when exiting the lock to go upstream as well as making it difficult for boats to enter and leave the dry dock.
The photos show how much was achevied by the volunteers in just 4 hours.
