No wellies needed 16 Jul 2018 (Braunston Canal Society) May 26th 2018 - The first of two new paths is laid in the continuing effort to improve the water point facility

A strim of the grass during the week allowed the volunteers to get on with the job of constructing a new path. Peter Gray from CRT, CAT scanned the area for buried pipes or cables, issued the permit to dig and CAATS assessed all 7 of the volunteers on the use of the wacker plate. 10m of new path was created connecting the water point to the bin compound.  In addition the painting of the bin compound was completed.  The fact that BCS now has a number of volunteers who have the wacker plate ticket was deemed a big asset to the team going forward. The hope was to arrange further assessments for those who would like to add more equipment to their volunteering portfolio.
