The turnout of 9 BCS crew on such a wet Saturday was impressive as was the team spirit shown in completing the days objective. To continue the restoration of the towpath along the flight tug 'Pochard' was used to bring stone to the pound between locks one and two. The rain did nothing to diminish the enthusiasm as all 3 tons of stone was applied to the towpath with the use of a wacker plate. By covering the armco anchor plates that were posing a trip hazard safety was improved. It was estimated that another 3 tons of stone plus 2 tons of '6mm to dust' for the topping would be required to complete the job.
