BCS continues to develop win-win relationships with local canal related businesses. The two scheduled task parties for November concentrated on maintaining the grounds at Union Canal Carriers. In return for performing this annual task UCC have purchased, at our request, a Honda strimmer/brushcutter and a Stihl pole hedge trimmer for use whenever BCS need them. In addition they are providing a convenient site for another composting station where BCS can dispose of arisings from their activities.
Several adhoc task parties took place this month which included the removal of the fallen handrail at the tunnel portal, the replacement of three dog waste bins, the continuing replacement of CRT signage and the ongoing renovation of BCS workboat ‘Skippy2Sheds’.
