Utilising Skippy2Sheds, a good number of tasks were completed by a crew of 8 during the last Saturday task party. The long standing problem of a spring flooding the towpath above the Nelson lock was tackled. The flow was captured underground and channeled, via a pipe, under the towpath into the canal. Lock maintenance was completed on locks 4,5 & 6. Litter was collected from the offside at the tunnel portal. The drain pipes that run under the raised section of towpath between top lock and the tunnel were rodded and the weir at Nelson lock was cleared of vegetation. A brilliant effort by everyone!
