Braunston will be holding their first Arts and Crafts Festival in All Saints’ Braunston Church on Saturday 16th August between 10.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. and on Sunday 17th August between 2.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m.
We are celebrating the skills and talents of Braunston village craftspeople and artists. There will be pottery, woodturning, weaving, oils and water colours, ink drawings of Braunston scenes, photography, quilting, bead weaving, bee keeping, lace making, and MUCH, MUCH MORE!
We will also have an organ recital, singing from the Braunston Village Choir and a string quartet.
Light lunches will be available on the Saturday and teas during both afternoons.
Our fabulous Time Line will also be on view. This is a permanent display depicting an outline history of the world set against a history of our village. It is in full colour and is 5 metres long and over 1 metre high!
There will also be a chance to wander around our iconic church, referred to as “The Cathedral of the Canals”, and see the work being undertaken in our £250,000 refurbishment programme.
Further details can be obtained from Andrew Alsop, event organiser.
