Residents in the Daventry area have just a few days left to register their views on funding for fire and police in the county.

A survey has been set up asking how much residents are prepared to pay as part of their council tax precepts towards the police and fire service in Northamptonshire – and the deadline to fill it in has now been extended.

Residents from across the county have been filling in the survey, but the response rate has been lower in the Daventry area compared to other areas in the county – and we are keen to hear your views.

Each year in Northamptonshire it costs £168 million to provide policing and victim services, and £29 million to supply fire and rescue services. A significant amount of that funding comes from the council tax precepts.

Please take a few minutes to fill in the survey – which explains the impact that different precept options will have on the policing and fire budgets.

The survey deadline has been extended until 7am on Tuesday January 16, and can be accessed here: www.research.net/r/PreceptConfidence2024-25
