I am writing to share details of my online survey, which I have launched to gather residents’ views on potholes and road safety across our area.
I live locally and use these roads myself, but it is important that I hear from as many residents and Parish Councils as possible so I can present strong, representative evidence to the local authorities. If your Parish Council wishes to complete the survey or share it with residents, I would be very grateful.
I am aware that residents are advised to report individual potholes through the council’s FixMyStreet system, and this should of course continue. However, I am also conscious of the delays many people are experiencing, which is why this wider survey is important in highlighting the scale and impact of the problem.
The survey is available here:

I would also like to highlight that my ‘Keep Daventry Parking Free’ petition remains open. The more signatures it receives, the stronger the local voice when it is submitted to the Full Council meeting in February:

Finally, I would encourage residents to take part in the current local authority budget consultations. North Northamptonshire Council’s consultation closes at 23:59 on 23 January 2026:

West Northamptonshire Council’s budget consultation closes at 23:59 on 3 February 2026:

These consultations provide an important opportunity for local people to comment on priorities and spending proposals that affect local services.
Thank you very much for your continued engagement.
With best wishes,
Stuart
