At a meeting with CRT's contracts manager, the contractor (Fountains) and BCS to discuss grass cutting (and lack of it), it was discovered that the water point area next to Midland Chandlers had been removed from the grass cutting schedule. CRT agreed this had been a mistake and promised to include the area in next years schedule. BCS agreed to do a tidy-up of the site to carry it through to March when the new cutting season starts. This was the reason an eight strong BCS team revisited the site for this Thursdays task party.
Along with the mowing and strimming, the paths were edged and some hedges and trees trimmed. More of the remaining brush was burned and some of the site was levelled to extend the mow-able area. The bin compound was swept out and an old mattress removed, thanks to CRTs Brian Eales, who had come to collect the mower he had arranged for BCS use.
