Over the last few months the signage along the canal network has been cataloged and reviewed by volunteers working in conjunction with CRT. June saw the start of BCS removing damaged or obsolete signs and replacing them with new ones reflecting current regulations and branding. This project is to be completed over the next few months.
This years lock painting schedule was completed in record time. The painting of Locks 4,5 and 6 by the end of June has cleared the way for BCS to focus on other projects such as lock maintenance and towpath issues.
The weirs at locks 4 & 5 were cleared of this years growth in preperation for painting the fence rails.
