An amazing amount was achieved by BCS volunteers today. The branches and brambles overhanging the towpath between bridge 90 to bridge 89 were cut back. Four flat loads of arisings were transported by tug to the Midland Chandlers water point where they were stacked ready for chipping. The vegetation alongside the steps at bridge 90 were controlled and the towpath was edged between bridge 90 and their newly renovated section. The record breaking turnout of 18 volunteers racked up 100 hours (another record for one day). This takes BCS total hours in the last 18 months to 2500 hrs.
