This Thursday the towpath between locks 1 and 2 continued to gobble up stone. Another 3 tons were applied by the BCS crew of 7. This time, as well as a ton of stone, they had two tons of surfacing grit. With the use of the wacker plate this consolidated the previously laid stone giving a smooth surface.
BCS estimate another four tons will be required to complete the section before the tug and flat are returned.
