Ten BCS volunteers set about improving the access path to the offside at the Nelson Lock. As this runs through the pub lockside garden it was decided to complete this project before the pub reopened. It was a challenge but the team worked like a well oiled machine. Everyone played their part. From the guys running the off-side lock gates (to keep the boaters away) to finally relaying the turf. They overran on time but that finished the task to a high standard. A job they can all be proud of. They could not resist asking landlady Debs to declare the path open!
